Foot Care Clinic in Gloucester and East Ottawa
Our foot care clinic is inside Queensway Medical Centre on Canotek Road, just off the Montreal Road exit. It is easy to reach from Orléans, Vanier, Gloucester and Ottawa's east end, and it is set up specifically for professional nursing foot care.

The clinic is designed to make foot care accessible and comfortable:

Everything we offer during a home visit is also available in clinic, including:
- Diabetic and high-risk foot care
- Thick and fungal nail reduction
- Ingrown toenail treatment, including nail bracing when appropriate
- Corn and callus care
- Cracked-heel and dry-skin care
- Routine preventive foot care
Every appointment includes a nursing assessment, personalized treatment, and time to explain what we are seeing and what you can safely do at home.
We also provide professional compression-stocking fitting at the clinic. Proper measurement is required, so compression fitting is not offered during home visits.

Clinic appointments cost less than home visits
Because there is no travel involved, clinic appointments are our lowest-cost option, with a reduced rate for follow-up visits. Current pricing is listed on our FAQ page.
If you are able to travel comfortably, the clinic is a convenient choice for regular care. If travel is difficult, our Registered Nurses also provide home visits throughout Ottawa.
Sterilization you can see
Reusable instruments are cleaned and sterilized in an autoclave following Public Health Ontario's IPAC standards. Sterile packages are opened at the point of care, and records are kept for every sterilization cycle.

What to expect at your appointment
Your nurse will ask about your health history and current concerns, then assess your skin, nails, circulation, sensation, pressure points, and footwear. Treatment is tailored to what we find and may include nail care, callus or corn reduction, skin care, and preventive education.
At the end of the visit, we will explain any changes to watch for and recommend a follow-up interval. Many clients return every 6 to 8 weeks, although your schedule will depend on your individual needs.

Common questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a clinic appointment directly. If your nurse finds something requiring diagnosis, prescription treatment, or medical follow-up, we will recommend the appropriate next step.
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The building and clinic are wheelchair accessible, and we have a mobility-friendly chair with supportive armrests and a lower seat height.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available at Queensway Medical Centre.
What should I bring?
Bring a current medication list and any relevant health information. Wear or bring the shoes that cause the most discomfort if you would like us to assess pressure or fit.
Is clinic foot care covered by insurance?
Foot care is not covered by OHIP, but many extended health plans cover foot care provided by a Registered Nurse. We provide a detailed receipt and can direct bill Veterans Affairs Canada for clients with a valid K number.
