About the Advanced Foot Care Nurse Course

Hands-On Clinical Days

Our program includes 3 days of supervised clinical learning designed to give you the skills and confidence to provide safe, professional foot care.

Day 1 – Observation & Orientation

  • Shadow an experienced RN as they provide real client care in both clinic and/or home visit settings

  • Observe charting, billing, and client communication in practice

  • Review essential tools and equipment used in advanced foot care

  • Learn the autoclave process and how to reprocess critical instruments according to Public Health guidelines

Day 2 – Mixed Learning

  • A balance of shadowing and hands-on practice

  • Begin working directly with clients under RN supervision

  • Continue observing a variety of cases in both clinic and home visit settings

  • Practice infection control, tool handling, and treatment techniques with guidance

Day 3 – Full Hands-On (One-on-One Training)

  • Provide complete client care one-on-one with your clinical instructor and client

  • Gain confidence performing full treatments independently in a supportive, supervised environment

  • Receive personalized feedback and guidance throughout each client session

  • Refine your charting, documentation, and client education skills
